With design, I’ve come to realize that projects are never really done, rather they are due. Deadlines are the determining factor of when I stop working because no design is ever perfect; they can always be iterated further. Because of this, I don’t usually have time to draw when I’m working on school projects. During this short break I’ve had the chance to sit down and paint again. I must admit that I miss the days when this was my job and I could just paint from the moment I got up to the time I went to bed. I’ve been working on this portrait for a couple months now, although in real time it’s probably only been a couple days’ worth of painting. I guess that’s the reality of my schedule these days, but I’m hoping that over the next year I can be more productive with my digital painting. A new year represents another chance to push my capabilities and improve efficiency in both work and drawing. A bit, late to the game but here’s to another fresh start! I’ll be hoping to post more awesome stuff and hope that you check back periodically to see what I’m working on!
